Looks like they've pulled it, no idea why, seems to work fine for me. Can't find anything on why they pulled it or any news on it.

Just got this, no comment on why they pulled it. I will do my up most to make suggestions and find problems with it, hopefully it'll be back on the store soon.

Dear Audible Customer,

Thank you for activating your Windows 8 device. We're excited to offer this new app to our customers. During the initial launch period, we ask that you please send all support questions, comments and feedback directly to our development team using the 'Submit a bug report' or 'Send feedback' options in the 'Contact Us' menu.

We greatly value your feedback and thank you for being an Audible customer!

Sincerely,

The Audible Mobile Team

I know I'm probably really late to the game, but the metro music app includes streaming once you login to it. It's a bit difficult searching for classical music but for those with modern taste may quite like it, especially the smart DJ feature (also doesn't work with classical music!)

Hi, just had an email invite for a free months subscription to Netflix. Can anyone recommend this offer and what to expect etc? Was mentioned in this thread, so pretty sure its a good bet.
Thanks in advance

Netflix is really good. I probably won't watch 80% of the stuff on there but its still worth it. I also think the app itself is a really good example of a Metro app (I use it on the desktop - shock horror)

Regarding the audible app it's good but not feature complete. I'm really missing the automatic shut off timer.

Thanks theheyes, I think I'll sign up for this.
I do have a Panasonic smart tv which is hooked up to the router via Ethernet, does it simply feed from there or do I need to link the tv to the pc (pc is also connected to router by cable)?

If the TV has a netflix app, then there isn't any need for the computer.

I know there's OneNote for all your note taking needs on Metro, but I've been using NotesTab as it syncs up with my Mac and iPhone as well. Pretty useful to have. Does cost for syncing though!

Put it this way, I've had it a couple of months, so that's £6 (including free month) and I must have watched about 3 entire series of 24 and a handful of films.

On Xbox it cost me £4.50 to rent one film.

Audible is back on

My media centre app, also looks very interesting for those running tv tuners.
Can't find the link ATM.
