I should be running at 1920x1080 but every few boots windows decides I should be running at 1024x768. I've got the latest Catalyst drivers 12.10
I'm using a HD TV and connecting from the DVI on the card to the VGA port on TV. I tried HDMI but found some games wouldn't run full screen so had to switch to the VGA port. If I remember rightly this problem didn't occur when using the HDMI port on the screen.
If I go into the Windows 8 screen resolution it seems to be because it's not detecting my tv right. When this problem occurs it's listed as some generic thing or another so I click detect and then it recognises it as "LCD TV" and gives me the 1920x1080 res.
Any ideas? This is getting very annoying! I tried google but couldn't find mention of this problem.
I didn't have this issue in Windows 7 using the VGA on the TV.
