Windows 8 threads threads threads threads threads

All people need to do is name their threads correctly. This will allow people to search. If we still have a page full of Windows 8 threads, then so be it.

Moving Windows threads out of the Windows forum is just nonsense and a waste of time. It'll die down naturally in a week or so. The thing only launched yesterday for crying out loud.

Agree with this ..once the first million have downloaded it by tonight ha! it will be history roll on Windows 9 i say when will that be out 3 years ????:o

I was scrolling this section the other night going "surely the Win8 threads will end some time soon, I want to see actual threads!" - They did not :/

give it a few weeks and it will all be about fixes for windows 8 :)

I haven't heard too much about problems, more about people not knowing where every thing is

yeah i read this lol well i was kind of lost with windows 7 at first but in time and daily use you find your way around it :) the best way to learn is to make mistakes ha! and with p.c,s i,ve made loads lol

I'd rather have lots and lots of Windows 8 threads with specific problems/info in the title. It's much easier to find information you want than look for some specific info in a thread with 200 pages with the info you want buried somewhere in the middle.

Take a deep breathe OP. Don't let it worry you.

Not sure why people are getting lost etc, I installed Windows 8 after not trying it at all in the past and it took me around an hour or less to work out how to use it and customise the start screen, now it's really no different in use than Windows 7 for me.

I suppose in fairness the launch of Windows 8 is a fairly significant event, so a single thread might be a bit unrealistic. If people have a *specific* question or issue, insisting that they tack it onto a single humonguous thread where many things are being discussed simultanously might not be the most effective way to help them or anyone else having a similar problem.

I agree though that there's no need for multiple generic "is-it-any-good" type threads all repeating the same stuff over and over and over and over....

edit: just saw bledd's post about a dedicated subforum, seems the obvious way to go... :)

Totally agree, if I want to have a discussion about a particular feature or issue then one massive thread doesn't really work, very quickly the posts rack up in response to something else and your post will get missed by the bulk of people just jumping to the final page.

A new Windows OS isn't exactly a small event and they don't come along that often so a splurge of threads is inevitable, doesn't matter what you think of Windows 8 and for better or worse it's a big deal for the industry.

Can there not be 1 windows 8 thread instead of people keep making lots and lots of windows 8 threads it's annoying!

You lot keep the questions in one thread man!

/rant over.

"There are too many windows 8 threads! I know, I'll make another one to complain about the other ones..."

Hypocritical thread FTW! I have to wonder how some people think!
