Windows Activation Help

I built my girlfriend a PC a couple of days back with pretty much no issues occuring. Or so I thought.

The pop up came up today stating that we have 28 days left to activate it. Fair enough I thought, so I clicked on it in order to activate it. Unfortunately, nothing happened.

I therefore tried clicking on Activate Windows within Accessories, and again the Activation screen didn't appear. I've also tried running "C:\windows\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /a" from the run command to no avail. I simply can't get the activation box to appear.

Therefore does anyone have any idea how I can get around this? All I want to do is activate Windows for fricks sake!

oh dear i bet yer girlys seriously unimpressed...

Please check internet connection working, no firewalls except windows, reboot, if still no joy reinstall (dont format just overwrite existing)

Ring Microsoft, they'll sort you out. Its all automated I believe.

Still need it activating on the PC, and you cant do that without the activation tool
