I have noticed for a while my audio has a slight crackle\pop most noticeable with music playback if the PC has been on for a while.
This always resolves itself with a reboot.
Has anyone got any tips or suggestions?

Asus Maximus hero V111 onboard sound via USB > Shiit Modi 2 > Magni 2

Thanks in advance.

Thanks EsaT
My windows will not install the fix suggested there "KB4505903" , says the update is not applicable to my computer.
By "integrated" do you mean onboard, as in sound, if i disable it i have no sound?
Sorry if i am missing something obvious here.

It does sound like a DPC latency issue though, i have downloaded Latencymon, that shows no problem at the moment, but i will wait for the audio to go bad then try it.

@altus
Try any of the following:

  • disabling Legacy USB Support in your BIOS
  • Update the driver to "USB Audio 2.0" via the device manager and selecting to search local drivers from a list (see below)

Failing that, plug it into a powered USB hub instead of direct to your PC.

Thanks Rossi, did this sort it out for you?
I have gone to optical and VLC, no problems so far, it may take a good few hours before it happens though!
If i decide to go back to USB i will do what you suggest.
Cheers
