Windows backup

Hello,

If i setup the windows backup utility to back up FOLDER A and all its contents and after the inital setup a new folder is added to FOLDER A does this folder get included the next time the backup is run ?

I would have thought so. The backup utility should look at the folder to see what files have been changed or added and back them up as well.

The real question is why wouldn't it?

I can't think of anything that would, by default, refuse to backup anything new! Would kind of defeat the purpose, no?

Indeed, but when the boss asks and i say im sure it does he always asks nme to find out for sure.

That's true, but as said, if you have software the deliberately ignores new files when backing up a folder... time to find new software!
