My windows is not on the C: its on the E: because i had left an older windows on the C:

Anyway i wanted to install a fresh windows, so i put the windows disk in it boots up, and i choose the C: to format.

Now the installation cocked up. After it copies and it reboots i get the blue screen with "A problem hasbeen detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage....".

I'm guessing its my windows CD.

Unfortunately i forgot i had the boot files for the e: windows on the C: as well and those are gone so I can't boot up the 2nd windows.

Priority for me is to get access to my e: windows, then i can try and sort out why the installation gets messed up, although if you have any suggestions on that front either.

Anyway how do i boot up the windows on the E: ?

Shouldn't be a problem with SATA.
Boot from your cd and choose R to repair from recovery console.
Choose your e:\ and type the admin password (if any).
Type fixboot then hit enter and/or fixmbr then enter.
