Hi guys,
Having a bit of a nightmare here. Decided to reinstall Windows. Booted into setup and it wouldn't find my RAID0 array. A message at the bottom of the screen informed me it couldnt install onto Disk 0 because it had an MBR Parition table and that on EFI systems Windows can only be installed on GPI disks.
My RAID0 Array is Accelerated using Intel Smart Response with my SSD, so I figured this was the reason. Went into the RAID bios, removed the SSD Caching, rebooted Windows setup.
This time my drive and all its partitions appeared. Excellent! Clicked 'Format' on my primary Windows partition, then went to install Windows and noticed..
ARGHGHGH!
'Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk has an MBR Partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed to GPT disks'.
Massive error formatting before bothering to check the problem was fixed as now it's rendered the machine unusable.
I also have a second HDD for my media - just a simple 1.5TB drive with no RAID array, nothing. It will not install onto this drive either - it has the same error message about MBR Partition tables.
So, I'm stuck. I've installed Windows onto this configuration before without any issues. The only change is the SSD caching but I've disabled that completely and it still hasn't fixed it.
Any ideas?
