Hey guys, just bought a new HDD and trying to install windows on it, trouble is when I do I get the error message -
"Windows cannot install to this disk. The disk may fail soon. If other disks are available install Windows to another location."
When I go into BIOS it doesn't show up, although Windows install does.
What is confusing me is that this is a brand new, albeit B Grade hard drive. Not from OcUK but elsewhere.
Can anybody help or is the disk really DOA. It does have at least 90 days warrenty with the store but I rather not have to return as they don't have anymore in stock.
Disk is a Western Digital Caviar 160GB, MB is a Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H running F18.
TIA
