I'm trying to copy a large number of files from one network to another, however if a file is unable to be copied (e.g. temp file that is open) then a 'file could not be copied' or whatever error halts the rest of the copying progress...

is there any way to select all, copy paste and ignore files that can't be copied?

    The free software EZbackItUp (http://www.rdcomp.net/ezbackitup/)
will allow you to back up whole folders ignoring open files. You can then copy these to your destination.
