Any ideas guys? I don't understand BSOD's in any detail?

Thanks :)

I really hoped someone wouldn't say that! I have four sticks of vengeance (4x4gb) so try one stick at a time with memtest?

Thanks for your reply mate

No problem.

Yes, test one stick at a time with memtest but first make sure the RAM is operating at the correct speed, timings and voltage.

If the settings are wrong the RAM may appear as "faulty".

Hello mate,

Yes, 9-9-9-24 2T and the rest is on auto.

For some reason though, the test states 4049mb for this dimm?

We have a winner! (Stick 2!)

Just letting it run through and will test the other two sticks but this one has failed Memtest

So speed and voltage are correct?

Auto may not always give the right setting.

If it turns you have one faulty stick then you need to return the whole kit as it was supplied.

If you bought a 4 stick kit then you'll need to return all 4.

If you bought 2 pairs then you'll need to return the faulty stick along with its partner.

It appears I've lucked in here, as one of the sets lost its heatspreader in an unfortunate..... accident! The faulty one and its partner are still happily full bodied :)

But surely that cant be see as advertising of a competitor ? :/
