I was working on my pc when both of my screens went off but the pc remained on, I assumed it was due to me programming the screens to go off after 10 mins inactivity.

So after a few minutes of finishing up some writing I went to the back of the pc and it decided to restart itself. I got this error message in a "windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown" box once windows restarted.

Anyone have any ideas what caused this? Thanks in advance

Check your event viewer from around the time it restarted. You will probably see the bluescreen error in the log. Go down and see what other errors there may be.

Take a look at Application and System logs.

Ok I checked the logs and posted a pic below. I have highlighted the day when the restart occurred 07/05/2010 (I think it was around 14:00 it restarted). But from the logs it seems like I am getting quite a few errors. I have no idea what most of them mean so if someone could help me understand I would be grateful, if more details are needed let me know and I will post them up.
