Hey, wondering if someone can help me out here.

I have a ATI Radeon HD4870 1GB. ( Can't remember exactly which edition, had a red and black box with an woman on the front ).

It did have a WEI of 7.4, but recently this has dropped down to 6.0. I do know that these scores mean little to nothing, but could it be a problem with the card or drivers?
I have recently updated the catalyst control center, maybe that could be it. Why would this happen though?
I'm only irritated because my system is currently held back at 5.7 by my hard drive, with processor and RAM at 7.4. I've just ordered an Intel X25-m SSD from here, which will push my WEI right up ( should be to about 7.4... ) but suddenly my graphics card has dropped loads.

Any ideas why, and has this happened to you?

P.S dxdiag says:

Weird! I just went into ATI overdrive, and took off the overdrive that was placed there using "auto-tune".
My processor and RAM now went up to 7.5 rather than 7.4, and my graphics stayed at 6.0.

My driver looks up to date after searching the ATI site.

Ah.
I did the auto tune just now again in the ATI CCC. It put the clocks up pretty high then when I did the WEI again it started making lots of blue blotches on my screen ( Was pretty worrying ). So I then put it back to defaults. It was pretty normal then I came to the forum and where you can hover your mouse over a thread title it says the first line or so... i did that and bits of the box that comes up were blue / green etc. I restarted and it's fine now,.. but don't think i'll be going near that again. I even put the speeds down by about 25 on each from what it suggested.

Thats something, does anyone have a good overall benchmarking program they would recommend? Like the most used and easy to compare with?

I just want to see how my system is running really and if it's up the speeds it should be.
