My 2700k clocked to 4.5Ghz gets 7.8
My m4 ssd gets 7.9 but dropped to 5.9, it was nearly full so i moved steam and a few games i'm not playing this gave me 20% free space, ran the assessment again and now its back to 7.9!
What's that all about!!

SSD's don't work well when nearly full. You should always leave some free space on them.
 
I get 7.8 on CPU too with an 8150:
