Windows experience on OC prebuilt system

Hi All,

Ive just received my new pre-built OC rig

Which is absolutely sweet BTW, amazing performance and it even looks soooo sexy inside too, great job guys!!

However I have a small query,

The rig comes with, RAM: Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit

Now I really dont give a crap about windows experience scores but it shows the ram rated at 5.9. Does this seem correct? I would have expected it to be a bit higher.

should be higher, are you using 32bit windows or 64?

5.9 was the limit on vista iirc, but win7 should go upto 7.9

Ok, Ive done a bit of reading on this and it looks like I should be getting 7.5-7.7 on ths ram.

Should I call OC to see if its anything to do with the timings etc?

forget the stupid bench marks, fire up a game benchmark see if that gets what you expect...

Argh I hate the windows experience score. High 7s on eveything then one 5 for my HDD

Makes me too sad to visit my control panel.

Should be getting 7s on everything apart from HDD really (need an SSD to get 7s on disk speed). What speed is it running at and is dual channel working (do you notice is says Dual Channel in bios after the mem count)?

Ive checked in the bios (cant see post since so quick

) and they report its running at 1528 which sounds about right but obviously that doesnt take into account the timings.

Ive run 3dmark and get the following,
