After upgrading to Windows 1809 I've noticed that Windows Event viewer now has loads of errors / warnings relating to Windows Hello for Business.

Anyone else noticed this?

I didn't think this was even in Windows 10 home!

I've had a good GOOGLE. But everything that I can find regarding this, seems to be referring to the pro version of Windows 10

For example:

Any suggestions anyone? Besides just ignore it.

1809 is a mess.

It's not, I don't know why you seem so intent on believing and making people believe it is. It's not put a foot wrong for me since I fresh installed it.

If you are using Win10 with a microsoft account, rather than a local account, then HfB is worth setting up as it removes the need for cached credentials and therefore mitigates against credential theft.

Uh it has caused no ends of problems causing rollout to be halted twice with lots of issues https://www.windowscentral.com/windows-10-october-2018-update-problems-complaints , is still blocked on quite a number of devices, still reports of people losing files after the update albeit a lot smaller number now that when it was first pulled lots of complaints about 1809 on the discussion group https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...&threadType=all&isFilterExpanded=false&page=1 etc. I'm barely scratching the surface of the reported problems since 1809.

You might have had a good experience with it but plenty of people haven't including myself - while not a huge issue all my systems that have 10 on now take an extra ~4-10 seconds sitting on a black screen before the login screen appears for some reason (which doesn't happen if I roll back to the previous update).

EDIT: Yes I am making an effort to be vocal though because the experience with Windows 10 is generally sub-par for a good number of users and if no one complains there is no impetus for them to do better and the developers have so far shown a stubbornness to continually isolate themselves from any real feedback while hiding behind pathetic excuses.

EDIT2: To quote from a recent article:

"The latest Windows update, initially released in October, has been plagued with issues."

https://mybroadband.co.za/news/soft...could-force-windows-10-update-onto-users.html

It isn't just me saying this.

That was in-place upgrades, admittedly which most probably would have found themselves in, but fresh 1809 devices do not suffer the same issues. The start menu is massively improved too, although it was fine before hand.

That in itself is an issue as people should haven't to do regular fresh installs to have a functioning OS. But if you look in the official discussion forums I linked using the MCT or a fresh install is often one of the first pieces of advice given and is far from a guaranteed fix.
