Windows Key after Upgrade to Windows 10

What happens to your Windows 7/8 key when you upgrade to Windows 10? Can you still use it to validate Windows 7/8 if you don't like Windows 10 and decide to go back and do a clean install of 7/8?

I did clean install of Win7 after having 10 upgrade because of ssd failure,the key still worked.In fact you can roll back to 7 iirc if you don't like 10,so don't need fresh install.

you can still use the key to go back to windows 7 or 8.1 if you don't like W10.

depending on how long you have had W10 installed you can roll back to your previous OS if its within 30 days

you can do a clean install if needed of your previous OS as the rollback is only for 30 days and then it removes the files.

if after 30 days you want to go back to Windows 7 or 8.1 you can without any issues just do a clean install
