windows key + e stopped working?

I've used the windows key (WK) + e combination to open up explorer for a long time, and for some reason, it doesn't want to work now. WK + D works, as does WK+R, but E doesn't work at all. I've only just noticed it, but can't think what it could be. Any ideas?

you (or someone else) hasn't assigned that combination to another program/shortcut then deleted it have they?

Can you just reassign it under the shortcut?

Does it work in safe mode? Might it be possible that another program is conflicting?

What about enabling the guest account, and trying it that way?
