hi all
ive been having this strange problem with wlm, it started out a few hours ago when upon signing in i notice it showed everyone as ofline
so i signed in on my laptop, there was atleast 10 people online..
so i googled the issue and it was suggested to someone and aparently worked for them to uninstall n reinstall wlm which seemed easy enough so i went to programs list in controll pannel clicked windows live essentials hti uninstall
checked wlm n it uninstalled it, now this is were the real issue started
upon trying to reinstall having downloaded the setup file from ms i got a error
"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142) Click on OK to terminate the application."
so i googled it, something to do with cmd.exe not working and a few other windows programs but they al still work for me, even installed Ccleaner fine
tried cleaning registry suggested for this, didnt work
ms support forum suggested sfc from cmd prompt, didnt find nothing wrong
and so im stuck as what to do (having rather not reformat n re-install win7, id rather go without wlm)
this issue only seems to be with windows live install programs as all other live stuff still works.. untill i tried uninstalling that n reinstalling windows live essentials... didnt work neither
system specs are in my sig if you need more info just ask
please help as i have no clue what to do
