You can never really compare boot times as people use different programs/drivers which Windows has to load at startup.

My mobo (asus a8n-32 sli) has 5x sata ports and dual gigabit lan so my POST screens are slightly longer than most mobos (primary boot is cd/dvd too) - once past POST though Windows loads fast even with 40 processes fully booted into windows.

This is still a grey area though, some people think windows load starts from when you press power on when in fact it's from the moment the windows logo bar starts to scroll. My PC from "power on" takes 1min 10sec-20sec to boot to a usable desktop but from windows logo it's 45~ seconds depending on what I installed (or uninstalled) last session and whether it was a reboot or a cold boot.
