Windows Logon

Well ive just got a new pc but after i have installed all the programs i need its taking ages for windows to logon.
It comes to the windows welcome screen that goes quick then all i can see is my background for about 2 mins then things start to load up.
Any ideas?????

Could be a antivirus doing things, etc. Even things like a network connection can cause this.

Go to start > Run and type msconfig. Go to the startup tab and see what is starting up, you might have a lot of apps loading you don't need. What have you already installed?

fixed my firewall was going through everything before they start
