windows Media Center cannot fast forward/rewind

Since I changed from media portal to MCE I've never been able fast forward my divx etc..

I've noticed I don't get the ffdshow icon in the corner when playing video's so maybe its something to do with that? I've reinstalled CCCP but no difference.

I can however skip 20 seconds or whatever the default time value is.

Has anyone got any ideas?

I used to get this on Vista MCE, I could only skip with the 30 second jumps.
I am now running on 7 MCE with the Shark codec pack, I can rewind and fast forward fine!

Take a look at that, but remember to remove ALL codecs before installing that.
