Hi peeps,
I'm having a really annoying problem with WMP11 on Vista Ultimate and it's insistance on levelling the volume for me. When playing music I can hear it limiting the loudness of music...just when a loud bit of a song starts the volume drops right back like it's being restricted. I've been through all the options in both WMP and Vista and no volume levelling options appear to be enabled. Auto Volume Levelling and Quiet mode are disabledin WMP before anyone suggests these.
As far as I can tell this issue only started after restoring a backup image of my Vista installation to a new laptop, so assumed it may have been a hardware or driver issue, but I can play music quite happily in Winamp. Unfortunately it's library features suck so I'd really like to get WMP working again. Has anyone come across this before?
Thanks,
Andy
