Windows Media player 11

Illegal copy of windows? I'm not sure you can install it if so - although I could be wrong. If you have a legal version of windows then I would suggest contacting Microsoft to see why your CDKey is blacklisted.

It is a Legal Copy of windows and i have contacted microsoft but they were un cooperative

They sais that another computer has already registered the cd key and that i have to send proof of purchase to them. Which i have not got as i brought pc of the net :(

Well if you bought XP with your machine, then that would make it an OEM version I think. As far as I know you can only install an OEM version of one PC and as you have changed the motherboard then you will need to obtain a new copy of Windows. But don't quote me on that.

Do you have the retail box and stuff?

Did you buy the pc from a retailer or from a private advert?

And if you take your time to read this thread:

You'll discover that in doing this, the license of your OEM version of windows has been rendered invalid.

You'll either need to purchase a new OEM copy, or a Retail version so you can upgrade your hardware to your heart's content.
