I've been getting a lot of Codec errors when using WMP10 for MP3s since I have re-installed XP pro a few months back..?

I've never had these before. The only difference between this and previous installs is that i'm now using an XP install disk with SP2, rather than using a vanila version, then installing SP2?

Where do i get these codesc from? Any ideas?

You should be able to play MP3's straight out of the bag. What error are you getting?

That's not really a solution to his problem though is it?

Yes it is. Saves a reinstall for a problem that's not worth doing a fresh install. Unlike BSOD upon boot up, corrupted files, borked system etc.

Better than your comment "It should work out of the box"

Brilliant.
I said it should work out of the box and then asked what error he was getting so I could try and help pin point the problem, so do not rolleyes at me!

I use the K-Lite Codec Pack which will give you all the codecs you will ever need.

ffd-shOW, installed last night when some of my random Initial D movies wouldnt work, now they work first time, and i didnt have to install a massive junkload of codecs which probably screw everything up!

happy!
