Windows mode

is there any programme out there that can force something to run in Window mode? There is something I wish to run which has no video options example you can't change res, no windowed mode options etc. Is there anything out there that I can run something in windowed mode?

If it's an old game you're talking about, it might be possible for you to change the resolution the game runs in to make it less horrible on larger screens using some of the guides at WSGF.

Nope did not work

I was going to run a virtual machine but Windows 7 XP mode is rubbish and can't find a way to install win xp on a VM from the disk

Map the Virtual Optical Drive to the XP ISO or a Folder if it is flat files.

If it's a game, then it will most likely run really badly in a VM.

You have to mount the media to boot off in a VM - depending on what you are using for a VM (i.e. VMWare or Microsoft Virtual PC) the way you do it is different. If the XP disk has been copied to a folder on your PC you must mount the folder as a Virtual CD drive.

It sounds overly complicated but there are tons of guides out there to help you achieve this.
