Windows not loading after 1 RAID-5 disk failed

I left my PC turned off for just over a week while I was away. When I turned it back on it said my RAID-5 status was degraded and Windows did not want to load.

I replaced the faulty disk and set it to rebuild however it will only re-build once I load into the OS. Windows Startup Repair also does not want to load, it gets the to the PE load screen and the Green bar just keeps going round and round even after leaving it for over an hour.

Any suggestions?

OS: Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit

Raid-5 with Intel Rapid Storage Technology

3 x 1TB disks

UPDATE:

I have tried to load several Windows Boot Disks such as the Dart Disk and a Windows 7 Recovery disk and neither of them get past the "Starting Windows" screen.

The problem is I cant's seem to load anything at all. Any boot CD I try keeps getting stuck on the same "Starting Windows" screen.

I will try a Linux Disk to see if it boots tonight and will also try without the disks being connected.
 
yes, the drives are set to raid and the RST screen in bios shows that the RAID is bootable.

I also tried the Hirens boot disk and when i load Mini XP it also just gets stuck on the Windows loading screen.

I have updated the bios to the latest version. It is a Z68XP-UD3 mobo ver 1.0. could it be the motherboard? I am runing memtest right now just to exclude the RAM.
 
If Windows isn't loading it's normally down to a hardware fault. Perhaps the controller is faulty rather than the disk. I'd try and get some diags ran on it - RAID5 - as long as it's configured right - should be fine on 2 out of 3 drives.

Memtest would be a start as well as >70% of hardware errors I've ever found have been down to the memory being faulty.
