Windows OEM Question.

Can you install this on a different computer, I know obviously not at the same time but I am looking to sell my computer on as seperates and a mate of mine is looking for a OS, can he use it on his or are OEM's tied to 1 person.

I know you can sale Retails as I had one of them previous which I sold and the buyer just phoned up Microsoft and told them he was the new owner but is it the same with OEM software.

The OEM software should have been bought with hardware and the licence is tied to that hardware, if you sell that hardware, the OEM XP should be sold with it.

Oem will die with the pc. Unless your mate has a similar spec.

Nope, same computer only.
OEM stands for "original equipment manufacturer" and it stays with the PC. you change PC, and you get a new OS.
