Hi All in windows 8 how do you delete the file windows.old ? :confused:

run disk cleanup.

^ You'll likely need to press the Clean up System Files button in that program.

in teh search box on the right type in

cleanmgr

then select

clean up system files

Then select previous windows installations

thanks for the info and that did the trick

also does windows 8 load all the upto date drivers for hardware on the system ? like Nvidia , soundcards printers etc ?

i think it does to a degree.

I went and manually fetched them anyway though.

It did for nvidia, razer deathadder for me.

I manually installed the nvidia 310. beta drivers and my mobo's windows 8 drivers though

Is anyone using the Windows Defender that comes with Windows 8 ? or do they disable it like I did in win 7 ?

I have it disabled it as I have bitdefender 2013 and malware bytes
