Windows pointer keeps changing from big to small

The Pointer (the arrow you click on things with) keeps changing from the usual size to a huge arroe more than cm big on the screen. Is there any reason for this? and how can i stop it enlarging?
 
More importantly, do you have a Gigabyte motherboard? If so the latest beta bios for most boards fixes this issue when you use a 5800 series with a Gigabyte motherboard.
 
i am having exact problem with my mouse pointer, explode to 4 time size lol

sapphire 5850 and gigabyte P55M-UD2, i know there is a new BIOS to fix the problem but i cant be arsed

Exact same combination and problem, updating the bios fixed it. It's quick enough to do it with the Windows BIOS flashing utility on the Gigabyte site. The update also fixes ipod / iphone syncing too.
 
A lot of motherboards have a way of saving your settings in a profile. I know with my Asus board my profile was left intact after a BIOS update. I just had to reload the settings from it.

Worst case if your board doesn't have profiles is to break out pencil and paper and write down the settings.
