Does your 6000 series machine come with Bluetooth and Wifi built in? Does it have the little button to disable/enable it? You could try toggling this and rebooting.

Otherwise, try msconfig and see what's running at startup. Or run Sysinternals (now Microsoft) "Autoruns" application which'll do the same but with more info.

cheers all for the help think the problem was down to me installing the wrong audio driver thinking it had a Conexant audio but had soundmax
So found it was down to the uiucu.exe which i stopped from loading at startup

Did wonder is there a way to remove the uiucu.exe as can't find the thing

Also yes it is the 6000 series with Bluetooth and Wifi built in
