Windows problem

Hey i did something daft to day i restore my computer by using a different computers cd for example i used a advents cd to restore it to a Sony computer so now everytime i put on the pc it wont go past the windows screen and when i put windows cd in my drive it says press any key but i cant so what should i do? is there anyway i can reboot straigth from cd? Thank you

Sounds like it's trying to boot from the CD when it comes up with the press any key bit. Why can't you press anything?

loaded different drivers possibly making your machine go whacky. use a normal cd?

yea i am but i changed it to a normal one and it doing kk with it still got that problem when it says press anykey and i press it put still dont work

I did a system recovery and it comes up with this now system/drivers/ntfs.sys what should i do?

ouchy, thats a reinstall now.
just:
1) Format the drive
2) Use the SONY cd or a NORMAL OS cd and install that
3) Install drivers from Sony.com if you didnt use their CD
