Windows screensaver password

ok guys sounds silly but how do I set windows to ask for a password when the screensaver has been on?
I tried to set it with no joy........
went to screen savers and the option for to ask for password wasn't there?

Its the password you use when you log onto windows.

I know that , but I want windows to ask me for the password so that I have to type it in.

all it s doing at the moment is going straight back to my desk top

Tick 'On Resume, Password Protect' on the screensaver tab.

thats just it there isn't any on resume password protect.............it just says on resume display welcome screen

I think i know what he means. Basically, he doesnt want a password on login, but he does on his screensaver. its something ive been trying to do as well
