This weekend I'm going to be building my new Fileserver :D The motherboard for this build is based on NVIDIA nForce 430 chipset with GeForce 6150 integrated graphics.

I've looked on the nvidia website but cannot see drivers for Windows Server 2003, just Windows 2000/XP or is it just the case that the XP drivers work?

If there are no drivers to download there may be some on the Windows 2003 server disk that will be installed during setup. You can check your if your hardware is compatible here

I would not recommend putting XP drivers onto a Windows 2003 server after all you wouldn't put diesel fuel in a petrol engine.

Isnt server 2003 built off XP technology? same way as Server 2k8 is built from vista.

Might suggest why using XP drivers would work, but im not 100% sure.

So long as we are talking Windows Server 2003 32-bit, XP drivers work - I know because I have used them and everything works perfectly. There are few 32bit only 2K3 drivers, so you have to use the XP ones.

Why, do you care to explain please?

well the analogy you use would make someone think they are going to **** up their server by using xp drivers when this is not the case. as mentioned above, windows 2003 is basically xp with a few bells and whistles on. when it comes to drivers, they all work perfectly. the only issue you might run into is that the xp driver might not show up as digitally signed for use in windows 2003. :)

xp drivers will work fine, i spent ages trying to find x86 nvidia drivers for my 6600gt till i was told to use the xp ones.

it is weird that x64 2003 server has its own seperate one where the x86 doesnt.
