Hi All,

Im currently installing a free software called aras innovator, which is a PDM software. Im installing on to a new (second hand) server running server 2016. The software is a web based software that uses an SQL database on the sever.

There will potnetially be 3 people accessing this software, and will need to be remote access as not always at the office.

I was wondering what is the best setup for only 3 people access. Do I need to setup a domain controller and domain, or could I use a workgroup (can you remotely access a workgroup, and is it secure?). Or would it be even easier to simply setup a remote desktop connection and launch the software with in a browers on the server?

Note: The server will not be running any other services (except possibly dropbox as you can link to files from aras innovator such as drawings, specifications, etc)

Appriciate any help

Thanks

Russ
