Windows showing incorrect HD size

Hi,

I have a Samsung HD501LJ - http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/...ves&subtype=spinpointtseries&model_cd=HD501LJ

When I installed the drive and booted Windows, Windows said that it could only see 320GB of 500GB.


Any ideas why this is happening?

Sounds like its just a 320GB Partition.

Right Click on My Computer ---> Manage ---> Disk Management

What does it show in here?

Weird, for some reason there is another partition (146 GB) with my Windows files, even though this is not my primary drive.

I never did a partition on this drive, just formatted it.

Oh well, false alarm. I'll just copy my files to that partition, not going to risk merging.
