As title, anyone know of any raid cards that are compatable with windows storage spaces ? I know JMB and highpoint cards do not work, an am aware SOME LSI chipset cards do work, but I was wondering if anyone knew of any dirt cheap raid cards (not using their raid just to attach more drives to), that work with no issues with windows storage spaces ?

The Dell Perc cards work fine from memory. You don't really need a raid card though do you, you just want a SATA/SAS card I would have thought. I bought a box full of the Perc 5i cards, which attach 8 drives each. The other really useful thing that I discovered is that the Perc 5i cards work fine on the USB risers used in GPU mining, so that you are able to attach a card to a PCIe x1 slot, mount it remotely and then use the cheaper 30cm SAS to 4 x sata cables available on the 'bay. Makes a really tidy case, as only a USB3 cable from the mainboard to the card. Copying across my network get a steady 90 Mb/s to drives attached this way, which is plenty for me. Hope that this helps.

The last part about the USB had my ears perk up...

Is it possible to get faster than 1x PCIe with risers?
