Windows / system problem! Need help!!!

Hey folks, a friend need help with his system, can't even load a browser cheers in advance..

Hey guys...

I seriously need help here. Yesterday I was trying to fix ram speed according to info i got on a forum.. Then my pc suddenly froze games and the entire pc when playing games. Then i went to bios to load all default settings booted win7. up again uninstalled ATI drivers because screen started to flick. Then rebooted system to install the ATI driver again. But when it was booting up windows, it came up with an error and said it couldn’t boot windows. Then I tried to run a repair windows, but that failed. It sent me to the Restore point to a state one day earlier.

Then when i chose that point and booted up the system, it all went slow.. Then first thing it came up with on boot was "error, windows couldn’t not run file C:\window\syswow64\cmicnfgp.dll because it doesn't exist or something like that" then i tried to install ati drivers, but it went soo slow with the ati installer and made errors on folders or driver packages.. And no matter what I did it wouldn’t install.. Not even with newly downloaded ATI drivers. Just keeps saying package install failed. Then I triedd to go into the restore point to set it back even further, but when I entered the restore tool, all the restore points were gone.. So what do I do now.. I would very much like to keep system without re-installing windows 7 all over again. If possible that is..

tips:
repair windows rarely works.
restore points are pretty useless and often do more harm then good. (most people turn them off)

you need to reinstall windows, you'v given it a beating and now its dieing on you which shouldn't of come as a surprise and when you start getting errors for important dll files you have to bite the bullet and reinstall.

Yeah, I'd go along with cutting my losses and re-installing too.
