Keep getting this message nearly everytime I start up my pc, I can usually clear it running chkdsk /r twice (sometimes it says one or more unrecoverable errors have been found), but this time it won't fix. Hard drive works fine when connected as a secondary device, no viruses or spyware etc.

It has 130 reallocated sectors and 1 offline uncorrectable sector.

Time for a new hard drive perhaps?

run manufacturer tools on it, they're in the ultimate boot cd

i'd backup the stuff on it, might need to send it back to manufacturer for replacement

I had to do something similar to the article to restore the NTBOOTLOADER and it worked a treat so can't see this not not working.

Ah well it has served me well for 4 years. A 74GB raptor would be nice but I think £85 is a bit too steep.

How is the Hitachi Deskstar T7K series?
