Just made the switch to a macbook pro....love OSX but feel a little lost

Can anyone help with the following?

1.In xp to resize images i always used the imagesizer powertoy (right click the image and resize) ..is there anything for mac the same.

2.Any nero alternative.

3.On my xp machine ive chaged the location of the my documents folder to and external HD.

So my PICS / MUSIC & VIDEOS all are located on the external HD

Is this possible on the mac?

Thanks

'Just Looking' is pretty useful for image veiwing/resizing - and its a freebie to boot.......

1. Preview (single images) or Automator (batch images)

2. iTunes (media files) or Finder/Disk Utility (for anything else)

3. As posted above however if you just want to change those specific folders, use alias instead

1. Preview, Automator or iPhoto. I use iPhoto.

2. OS X and her built in disc burning suits me, although Smoke is good. Toast is OK but overpriced.

3. Keep your home folder where it is and replace the Video, Pictures and Music folders with Aliases to the external drive. You can move your home folder but it isn't worth it.

Just got round to doing this.

Ive decided not to move the home folder and just make an alias for each folder on the external drive.

Ive now got an alias on the desktop called 'Music' from the external drive how do i go about replacing the Music folder in Home with this alias.

Also how do i go about making i tunes read this ?...without copying them all to the mac pros hard drive?

You can delete the real folders (Video, Music, Photos, Documents - not the others ) an replace them with the Alias.

iTunes, you can either just delete your current library and drag the new folder into iTunes or move the library via iTunes -> Preferences -> Advanced and change the Library location.
