Every time I turn on my laptop I get the message. “Your device is missing important security and quality fixes” yet when I go to search for updates, it searches for about 20 mins then I get the error code 0x80080005

Does anyone know what this is

When I use the windows 10 update assistant it says I’m on the latest version and when I Check in system it’s 19.0.17763 build 177630
Thanks in advance

Go into control panel, administrative tools, services
Scroll to windows update service, right click and stop it.

Go to windows directory, into software distribution - delete entire contents of the directory.
Restart the windows update service (as above but click start)

Run the troubleshooter?
Troubleshooters running just now, has been for about 30 mins.
Go into control panel, administrative tools, services
Scroll to windows update service, right click and stop it.

Go to windows directory, into software distribution - delete entire contents of the directory.
Restart the windows update service (as above but click start)
I’ll try this next

I didn’t even seem to have windows update in my services list, been bugging me all day think I’ve finally got up
Updating(if it works) I tried to download the Xbox beta app for the ultimate subscription and went to minimum requirements and noticed the update now button so hopefully it’s the May update that it’s wanting and nothing else
