Windows update needed for dual core CPU?

Just upgraded from an AMD 64 single core to dual core (X2) CPU. I'm running Windows XP Professional with service pack 2.

I've installed the AMD processor drivers, but can anyone point me in the direction of any Windows updates which are also be needed to make sure that both cores are being used by games etc.

The AMD drivers are all you need.

As you seem to be on XPSP2 (32bit) correct ?, you need some hotfixes and AMD drivers + AMD Dual Core Optimiser, cause it runs kinda pants in 32bit OS without them.
