windows update website just keeps scanning

cant figure this one out..go to windows update website with ie7 and it starts to scans but never completes..with or without firewall...

how long are you leaving it? can take a while if on some systems

disable antivirus and antispyware programs when you're doing it -leave it for say 30 mins and check back

does automatic updates within windows work ok?

Left it on for over 2 hours tonight and it just wont boot up..

The update went fine just wont boot up since lol.

Is it windows update or microsoft update? I had problems with microsoft update and so removed it.

Was a windows update as id just formatted and re-installed windows....The stupid thing still wont boot..looks like another re-install is on the cards
