isnt updating, I had to manually install service pack 2 then use windows update and it only gave me 25 files, after that it said everything is updated Ive got Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit, hope that helps, or should i just shut the hell up :confused:

After running Windows Update again and it tells you there are no more... it's probably correct.

If you're still not convinced download the Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...AF-9DBE-4DCE-889E-ECF997EB18E9&displaylang=en

It will tell you if you are missing any updates.

With Windows update or MBSA? What is the error message? Something about a catalog?

Its ok had an open window, thats the reason i had the error message

Did a scan again everything has passed all green :confused:

I had to update a load of machines behind a dodgy web proxy once that basically broke Windows Update. It was the definition of tedium but MBSA made a bad job a bit easier.
