Windows vista install

Honestly, you'd be better off buying a new copy of win7 to go with it.
I just reinstalled vista on a small machine that will eventually house whs2 when it launches. I had a spare vista licence, and installing it, and then all the windows updates and service packs, and absolutely nothing else has cost more than 30Gb of space, even after removing temp files, and also the removal of all the system restore points.

I was rather amazed by the overall process and just how bulky vista was, win7 is lite in comparison.

I got the drive from MM for under £30 and cant afford to purchase another copy of win 7
ive got a spare unused copy of win vista ultimate sitting here as i upgraded my main system to win 7.
So looking to see how much fat can be trimmed from a full vista install to get it to fit onto a 30 Gig drive

Still has a lot of junk in it, if your buying the HP edition. Your better off with the starter edition, but you can't buy it.:D

Using vlite you can take it down to about 700mb disc size and have it work correctly. You could easily knock a gig off by getting rid of languages :)
