Windows Voice Recognition Advice

Hi folks.

I'm looking into voice recognition to support my girlfriend in her coursework who is dyslexic.

I see that Windows 10 now has this facility however is it any good, it's not something I have ever used?

I know clients of ours use "Dragon" voice recognition software, but this is expensive.

Can anyone recommend any software? Or is what is now built into Windows decent etc?

Also.. on a slightly different note.. can anyone recommend a headset or mic for this sort of stuff?

As with any voice recognition software the more you train it the better it will get at recognising your speech.
