Windows won't boot, black sceen with white dots circling

Hopefully this is the right forum for this question. But all of a sudden my PC won't boot. It gets past the BIOS screen and then all I get is a black screen with white dots that spin endlessly.

After restarting 3 or 4 times it goes into a menu and I've tried Safe Mode and Safe Mode with networking but it just goes to a black screen and nothing happens.

I don't know why this is happening now or how to fix it. I would really appreciate some advice.

To note, there hasn't been an update as far as I am aware and there has been no power outages or lightning in the area.

Try clearing the cmos also take the gpu out and put it back in if you have one.

Does sound very possible.

Have you tried Windows repair (rarely works but worth a try)?

Also, what is your complete spec and is your system clocked and have you had problems with restarts recently?
