I've just recently upgraded my motherboard, processor and ram.
I was running windows 7 ultimate 32bit which I installed using the full retail version I purchased from amazon. However, now when I go to install it again it tells me there are corrupt or missing files and cannot install. I had the same problem with the 64bit disk on my old motherboard, but now its like it for both. Not only that but my computer keeps either randomly freezing on the screen where I can press delete to go into bios, or just simply restarts or crashes randomly further along!!! And thats the short story. I swear something different goes wrong everytime making it hard to pin point what exactly is the problem. The only thing I could find online about the corrupt windows was from people using iso files downloaded from the internet but im using the proper official windows disks?!?! Any help would be MASSIVELY appreciated! :(

i had a problem similar too. but with windows vista, i got so ****ed about it, i thouight, **** it. and download the illegal version. it worked, and was soo much easier. maybe you should try that? - and i know, it is frustrating buying the legit version, and it not working.

tbh so much stuff keeps going wrong with it and its usually different everytime, makes it so hard to know wether it is my disks or not. As i said the 32bit worked fine on my old rig (same HDD) and not not even that works. Although im trying the 64bit as i know its definatly compatible and I seem to get further with it that the 32. If me or my mate cant sort it by tuesday then im taking it to a computer clinic in my local town. Probaly just gonna tell me that I've some how broken all the nice new and EXPENSIVE gear I just bought during install or something :/ might be my psu to as its not great. But its just impossible to tell whats wrong!

:(

i had this before. you have to update ALL the motherboard drivers. go to their website and update to the latest drivers,
i forgot to do one (chipset i think) and i could not go from 32 to 63bit win 7.

I can't as because I can't get into windows. As I said, it wont install at all. All I can do is go into the Efi BIOS, or boot from disk...thats it! :(

What psu have you got?

You could try installing with the least hardware needed (1 stick of ram, 1 hdd, dvd drive and gpu). Then if it works, add the rest.

Right, I managed to install vista 32 bit (iso download) by unplugging most my usb's, network card, and disabling a load of things in the bios. I can finally get into windows now so fingers crossed I can try testing some things etc. I'm hoping to try my windows 7 disks again once I've installed all the drivers etc to make sure the system is all up to date. It still seems a little "dodgy" in that it still tends to freeze from time to time, and its very slow! I might just swallow my pride and take it to the computer clinic on tuesday when I have a chance. The issues with it vary so much its near enough impossible to determine whats actually causing the problems!
