i was digging through some junk in the attic the other day when i came across an old mustek 600cu scanner, i stuck the drivers disc in only to find it woudn`t run because it was for win 98 or even earlier! anyway after a a lot of digging about on the mustek site i found they haven`t made any for xp so after trying the patch (which doesen`t work) i tried the method they recommend for mannually fixing it(changing the registry version from xp to 2000 then changing back when the drivers have been installed,needless to say that didn`t work either so i gave up and binned the bleeding thing,
i tried to remove the knackered mustek driver in the control panel- add or remove but it won`t let me , i just get a black box that flashes up for a second then disappears so fast i can`t read it. theres nothing listed in programs for mustek and nothing in the registry and the entry in add or re move shows theres nothing in it. it doesn`t seem to be causing any problems but i just wish i could remove the entry . anyone got any idea how to do this?
