Hiya guys, just a query really, regarding an issue we're having here at work, the night before last about 8 laptops went down witht he exact same symptom, most of the laptops were Toshiba Satelite Pro A300's, an old Fujitsu and 2 RM laptops.
The problem ocurred at random times for all users, some on email, some in word etc, the laptops slowed down to critical rates and then froze,when they rstarted they would come to the XP loading screen, then straight into a plain black screen with the white mouse pointer there, left it for a few hours to see if anything changed, and nothing did at all.
Really not sure on the cause of/fix for this problem, just avery strange occurance, some had Symantec endpoint AV, some had Avast, some had Windows Update turned on, some turned off, so its not as if they were all in the same situation, to top it all off, some went at the school, some at home!
If anyone has experienced this or has any idea/experience with this problem, its causes or solutions, plese let me know!
